Halle Berry suffers foot injury in Spain

The 45-year-old actress sports a cast on her right leg as a male medical worker pushes her in a wheelchair near a hospital, as seen in a new celebrity photograph posted on People's website.

Berry suffered a "foot injury while walking in Mallorca on a day off from filming 'Cloud Atlas,'" Warner Bros. Pictures said in a statement to OnTheRedCarpet.com on Thursday, September 22. "Production has adjusted their schedule and will continue filming."

The studio had no immediate comment about whether the actress' injury will postpone the film's release. "Cloud Atlas" was originally set to hit theaters in October 2012.

The film also stars Tom Hanks, Hugh Grant, Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving and Jim Sturgess. It is based on a novel by David Mitchell and is consists of several interconnected stories, including that of a journalist who investigates alleged corruption at a nuclear power plant in 1975 and a tribesman living a primitive life in a post-apocalyptic future.

Berry plays Meronym, a woman who is from a tribe called the Prescients. Hanks portrays Henry Goose, a surgeon to the London nobility.
